…I was tired of sitting in our “weekly” meetings, scratching our heads, and coming up with no answers…All I can say is Thank God that we have had Randy Moon here for the most grueling 9 weeks I have spent since Boot Camp 40 years ago!!

Pro Temp Inc. has been in business for 20 years in the HVAC and Refrigeration business, with service being the profitable area. Our growth has been stagnant with 3 – 7% profit for the past 3 – 4 years… Company growth was slow and avoided as we viewed growth as requiring more hours. We had considered selling the company as we realize growth is necessary for survival, but we were not willing to put in more time, and did not know how to proceed…

Even though we were shocked at the weekly cost for consulting, we decided to proceed for a few weeks. We were impressed and therefore extended the initial consulting with Randy Moon for a total of six weeks before we felt comfortable proceeding our own.

In the six weeks of good turmoil, we set the basis for the reorganization of Pro Temp. The work performed professionally includes:

• Reviewed our business the last 3 years and determined problem areas
• Revamped our accounting to track performance in 3 areas of our business
• Organized the company, passing responsibility to the employees
• Motivated everyone to work towards being more productive
• Set up an incentive bonus plan with guidelines for measuring employees
• Put the company on the right track for inventory and other expense controls
• Established sales and marketing procedures
• Developed easy to use forms for determining profit, budgeting and sales scripts.

The short and long term results from this expensive experience, is that the two owners now have the opportunity in the future to step back and let the company run itself by utilizing the existing employees, gaining financially from continued growth, making it worthwhile for the employees to strive for higher performance and give them the opportunity for future growth…
